PVC Pipe Supplies:

PVC pipe 1" - 10'   qty = 3

PVC 90 degree 1" x 1"   qty = 8

PVC 90 degree 1" x 3/4"   qty = 4

PVC T's 3/4" x 3/4"   qty = 4

Hardware:

Quantities are approximate!!  There is no way to give definitive numbers for this project.  There are too many variables involved.

Hinges - heavy duty 4"   qty = 6

8-32 machine screws -

1/2"   qty = ~14  (for the side panel hasps)  If you are using 1/8" hardboard, you will need shorter screws or else you can use longer ones and cut them off.

1 1/4"   qty = 6.....if the wood that you use for the door frame accommodates this length of screw

1 5/8"   qty = ~20

1 3/4"   qty = ~12

2"         qty = ~14

8-32 nuts (I prefer the nylon locking nuts)   qty = ~ 66

Washers - small (4mm)   qty = ~14

These are used for the screws attaching the side hasps.  I need these when I use the Coroplast but if you are using hardboard, you can probably skip the washers.

Washers - large (1-1 1/2")   qty = 4

These are used for the eyebolts on the back panel

Eyebolts   qty = 4

I use 1/4 " or, preferably, smaller if I can find them.  (Easier to cut off.)   The length does not matter since you will be cutting them off.

Eyescrews size 8 (or close to that size)   qty = 2

Be careful not to get ones that are too thick (large diameter) since what you are screwing them into (the door frame) is not very wide/thick and you don't want to stress/crack the wood.

Large hasps (1" wide)   qty = 2

Small hasps (3/4" wide)   qty = 2

Wood:

Hardboard or MDF board. 1/4"  2' x 4'   qty = 1

Hardboard or MDF board 1/8"   2'x4'   qty = 2

I prefer whatever material I use to be smooth on both sides but you may only be able to find board that is corrugated on one side.  That is fine also.  I have not made a sliding door out of the corrugated panel and I would be afraid that unless it was sanded down on the edge, it may not glide as easily as I would like it too but I am probably being too picky.

(If you decide to source Coroplast, then you will only need 1 - 2' x 4' 1/4" hardboard for the front panel.)

Door stop - 1/2" x 3/4" (is actually 3/8 x 5/8)...qty = 3'

Molding ~1 1/2" wide   qty = 4'

Dowels 5/16" - or larger if you prefer and your netting can accommodate it...qty = 16'  (They come in 4' sections so get 4 of them.)

Miscellaneous:

Net - no larger than 3/4"   qty 5' x 5'  See www.gourock.com and look at their Golf Impact (not barrier) Netting

Cable ties 7" (Black/UV protected - not white)   qty = ~110  (Don't try it with just a bag of 100.  You will be frustrated if you do not have extras.)

Cable ties 4"   qty = ~10

Cable ties 11"   qty = 4  (Or you can just hook 2 - 7" ones together and not buy the 11" ones.)

Bungee cords 18"   qty = 2

Rope   qty = 50'   Some people use cheap string but I prefer a nice, soft/pliable 3/16" rope.  Make sure that it is NOT STIFF.  You want it to lay nice and flat and straight.

Carpet   qty = 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" wide strip.  Total length needed ~90"

Velcro (3/4" wide)   qty = 7"

Chain for the handles   qty = 2'

Duct tape to wrap the chain handles and also the end of the bungee cord where it attaches to the trap

Wood glue

Superglue

Locktite

Cut off wheels (for a Dremel tool) to cut off the excess machine screw length

Label with your name and phone number on the trap
